A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away,
Rock music ruled the land. In the final decade of the old millennium, the Media Wars were fought and lost. Rock music was declared dead and outlawed by the Controllers of the Media.

The 30 years of the Rock Era -- during which the arts flourished, and thought, adventure, discovery, compassion, understanding, spirituality, sex, and ethnic solidarity were encouraged -- came to an end, resulting in a cultural apocalypse.

The refugees from Armageddon, who still held the faith, formed local tribes, and were forced to go underground to wage a guerilla war in the revolution against the Pop Police.

These refugees, guerilla warriors, gypsies, and pirates became collectively known as The Seekers. And the sanctuary where the tribes gathered was called
Renegade Nation.
